Solid - Fluid Pre-Processing - Interfaces in Openfoam?
Hello Everyone,
I think about transitioning my simulation from Star-CCM+ to OpenFOAM, because I might loose access to the licenses I am using right now. The simulation itself is rather straight forward: A heatsink attached to a heater is partly placed inside a fluid domain. In Star-CCM+ I basically do this: Create-Heatsink -> Boolean Cut into fluid domain -> "Imprint" Operation -> Meshing of the whole setup -> the boundary between fluid and solid is automatically created and called an interface I thought about using Salome to create the heatsink (works!) and I can also do the boolean cut in Salome. But how does OpenFOAM expect solid-fluid boundaries to look like? What do I need to do in preparation for meshing? Is there some kind of "OpenFoam Imprint" to make sure the solid and fluid meshes align? kind regards, hebeldebel |
