Helyx using MRF
Good Day everybody!
I’m trying to simulate a big fan using Helyx-OS. I would like to simulate the fan blades moving and pushing the air forwards. Unfortunately I'm doing something wrong. I defined a volume around the blades as MRF and set it to an angular velocity. As boundary conditions I choose the “pressure inlet outlet” for both ends of the main pipe and set the pressure to one zero gradient and one total pressure = 0. The results are in the two images in the links below. https://picload.org/view/drlprawr/1.png.html https://picload.org/view/drlprapw/2.png.html It seems that the air is moving just circular. It definitely does not get pushed or sucked forward. The main movement of the air seems to be in the wrong direction. The second problem is that the blades are not moving from time step to time step. What am I doing wrong? Cheers Hendrik https://picload.org/thumbnail/drlprawr/1.jpg |
