Tecplot To OpenFOAM

Hi everyone!

I have a tecplot ascii file containing 2-D field data (coordinates plus some scalars). I need to convert it to an OpenFOAM case so I can use some of its functions. Is there any way to achieve this? Has anyone had some similar experience? Need to mention I also have Ansys Fluent available if it could be useful here.

Thanks,
Syavash

Well, I found the solution to be importing field data using "interpolate" feature in Fluent. In this way, one can set Fluent to read cell-data exported from tecplot in ASCII format. Then one should write cas&dat in ASCII mode and finally using fluentDataToFoam utility from foam-extend to convert cas&dat to OpenFoam data format. However, this procedure is not straightforward at all!
