Case setup with multiple heat generating bodies

Hello,

Let's say I have one domain of a rectangular prism. It contains a fluid and several solid volumes displacing the fluid at various locations.

If I desire to specify a unique q''' (volumetric heat generation rate) for each solid volume, will I need a unique cellZone and set of thermophysicalProperties for each solid volume?

Thanks for your time,

Hello,

Yes, If you want to specify unique q for each volume, then you need unique cellZone and thermophysicalProperties for each solid volume. I am working CHT from some time having multiple bodies (in order of 100). I define heat generation for each body separately for unique heat source.
There might be another possibility but I am not familiar with that and in my opinion for unique bodies you need unique cellzones.

Great, thanks for the insight! I truly appreciate it.
