solverInfo functionObject ofv1906: cell residuals vs. total residuals
 

Hi,

I can store initial residuals as volScalarFields with the functionObject solverInfo with OF v1906.

When I sum up all the initial cell residuals the value I get differs from that written in the log file for the variable, e.g. the sum of the volScalarField initialResidual differs from the initial residual for p printed on screen at the same iteration.

The dimension of the cell residual is [0 0 0 0 0] so that it seems they are already normalized. Therefore, I guessed their sum over the cells should equal the value reported on screen.

Can anyone explain me the reason for the discrepancy?
