Hi all,

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I am quite new to OpenFOAM. I am working on a natural ventilation simulation in OpenFOAM v-1812 running buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam.

My question is, what is the best method for calculating volumetric averages in OpenFOAM?

What I want to achieve is averaged values of air temperature and contaminants (i.e. CO2) within a specific region in my model.

Any advice anyone can provide me on this topic would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Ben

Might consider 'codedFunctionObject's which may allow you to customise the postprocessing in a niche way.

OF Online User Guide and API guide might be a good start.

Maybe there are FOs that can be used for your objectives, but dont know any. Maybe other dudes can give a hand.
