Hi OpenFOAMers,

I have a multiRegion case (different types of solids, no fluid). Within some solid regions I want to add a heat source which is changing with time. I can do this with fvOptions (swak4foam), but this heat source depends on another parameter (an active scalar equation). The extra equation which must be added to the solver is the load X:

dX/dt = K * (X - X_eq(T))

K is constant. Behind X_eq is an analytical equation depending on the temperature field of the solid.

The heat source looks like this:

S = C * dX/dt * dH(X)

C is constant and the source depends on dX/dt and X. Is it possible to add such "active" equation for X via swak4foam as well? I searched a lot and didn't came to a succesful result.

Or is there no way around to program a custom solver with chtMultiRegionFoam as the base (I am beginner in C++ )?
