Modelling sessile droplet sitting on the wall
Hello,
I try to model a sessile droplet sitting on the substrate with a initial contact angle e.g. 90 deg in interFoam. I was inspired by the following method: ########################################## walls { type constantAlphaContactAngle; theta0 90; limit gradient; value uniform 0; } ########################################## Actually, I tried to put a semi-spherical droplet on the substrate, and the centre of the semi-spherical droplet is just on the surface of the substrate, however, my droplet tends to spread on the surface. I tried the second approach, I have a spherical droplet just over the surface for a certain distance, and it falls gradually, the droplet first spread over the surface and retrieve. After several time steps, it forms a contact angle of 90 deg finally. Honestly, in my simulation, I do not need the initial spreading and retrieve process, I just need a sessile droplet with a certain contact angle. Could you please tell me how to do this? Regards |
