Problems converting from OP7 to OP8 in multiphaseEulerFoam
 

Dear all, let's see if someone can help me.

Me and my students are simulating air-water flow inside a vertical pipe using multiphaseEulerFoam and our cases worked well in version 7. Once we try to convert version 8 all hell breacks lose and we can't solve the problem. It wont go past the first time step.

Have any of you ported the files from one to the other?

OF went through a considerable restructruring from v7 to v8, possibly one of the largest since the outset of the software.

Therefore, I kindly suggest you to first understanding the new code suite, and rewrite whatever you have in v7 into v8.

Might be useful to try with OpenFOAM-v2006 to see if it works there.


If you have redhat/centos/fedora/opensuse/ubuntu, a precompiled binary package would be a quick way to test.
