I am a new user of openFOAM and have hard times implementing a necessary functionnality. My purpose is to impose a source term that would be varying in space and time. This corresponds to a rooting zone where the rooting depth is typically of the order of 40 cm from the surface while the simulation domain extends over several meters. This source term is active only during summer with more intensity when vegetation grows.



I have so far been able achieve conditions varying in space through setExprFields. On the other side, I managed to introduce time varying boundary conditions through the dictionnary, directory 0 (please see appended files). Mixing both approaches proved impossible.



Could you possibly advise a way to implement this internalField warying both in time and space? Due to difficulties in the installation of OpenFOAM on the lab. network we prefer not to attempt to install SWAK4FOAM and would appreciate adapted pieces of advice.
