bineet_aero is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I have a simple conjugate heat transfer problem in OpenFoam. A big cube representing the fluid domain and inside it there is a smaller cube representing the solid. In the blockMesh, two cellzones were defined. I want to use mergePatchPairs in order to identify the internal faces of the solid and the liquid in contact. Its easy to define such patches for the smaller solid cube but i do not know how to define matching patch for the fluid side as it is not of the same size as that of the solid. Its like the smaller cube is not touching any face of the bigger cube(fluid) as it is in the centre of the fluid. Also will mergePatchPairs help me obtain these internal faces in polymesh/boundary and in celltoRegion files after i use the splitMesh option ? thanks in advance for help

regards
