Hi all,

Recently I'm learning dynamic mesh method to simulate fluid-solid cases. There are two questions I' m confused about and I sincerely hope to get some advice.

1. I want to add the displacement of every boundary cell obtained from another FEM software onto my fluid mesh and update the mesh to solve p in the next time step. However, as far as I know, the dynamic motion methods in OpenFOAM add the uniform displacement on the specified boundary rather than adding every cell' displacement. I wonder which method may achieve my purpose and how to add the boundary cell's displacement directly?

2. In some 'pointDisplacement' files, there is a boundary type called 'fixedNormalSlip'. What is the function of this boundary type and when should we use it?

Best regards,
Stan

To make former description much clearer, a figure which shows what I want to achieve is uploaded.

Thanks for any hint!
