Hello, I have a mesh from gmsh and imported it into openfoam. I have an internal wall which is defined as a patch boundary and I need to make it into a baffle.
Does anyone know how to create a duplicate patch / make a baffle from this ? E.g. from toposet. So far I've used toposet patchToFace and FaceToFace to create 2 facesets of the same patch. But when running createpatch for these 2 sets it only does one because it says it's the same faces. Do I need to flip the orientation of one of them ? Or what's the process of creating a baffle starting from a single patch ? Thank you |

Hello,
I think this is a job for the mergeOrSplitBaffles utility in the OpenCFD branch (openfoam.com) and OpenFOAM foundation branch (openfoam.org) up to OpenFOAM-8. For the foundation branch, it has been deprecated for the new splitBaffles utility since OpenFOAM-9. Cheers, Yann |
