Hi guys,
I have a problem with a university project for the CFD for a truck. I impose on the boundary condition in U for the wheels this conditions:

Wheel_11
{
type rotatingWallVelocity;
origin (1.41 0 0.5);
axis (0 1 0);
omega -$rotation; // Rotational speed in radians/sec
uniform (0 0 0);
}
Wheel_12
{
type rotatingWallVelocity;
origin (5 0 0.5);
axis (0 1 0);
omega -$rotation; // Rotational speed in radians/sec
uniform (0 0 0);
}

Wheel_13
{
type rotatingWallVelocity;
origin (5 0 0.5);
axis (0 1 0);
omega -$rotation; // Rotational speed in radians/sec
uniform (0 0 0);
}

I run the simulation, then on paraview I cannot always visualize the rotation of the wheel (sometimes appear and then disappear)
Can someone help me?
Thank you very much

Can you elaborate on this and show us what you get?

Looks like the condition is properly applied on some wheels but not all wheels, right?

First things coming to mind:
  1. Look for any mismatch between the wheels names in your mesh and in your boundary conditions (look for typos, remember OpenFOAM is case sensitive)
  2. Double check origin coordinates to make sure you didn't mix things up

No, the screen are on the same simulation at the same final iteration, but for some reasons sometimes I can visualize the rotation and sometimes no.

The coordinates are correct I am sure and I check all the files of my simulation

What are you displaying on the screen ? the volume mesh or the patches?

What do you get if you load only the patches in the "mesh regions" section in ParaView?

I was displayng the internal mesh , not the patches. If I display only the patches I can see the rotation of all the tires. Is it ok for my simulation?

Sure it is!
If you want to see both at the same time, you can load patches and internalMesh in paraView, and then use the "Extract Block" filter to select either internalMesh or whatever patch(es) you want to see.

Cheers!
