Hello,

How can I link a new solver to FoamX case manager, for example dieselEngineFoam or if I edit a new solver. For now, when I create a new case, the solver dieselEngineFoam is absent.

Thank

The configuration files for FoamX are in the $FOAMX_SYSTEM_CONFIG directory. They can be modified or added to. (In fact you can put personal changes in a directory $FOAMX_USER_CONFIG to avoid losing them during an upgrade of FOAM; $FOAMX_USER_CONFIG should have the same directory hierarchy as $FOAMX_SYSTEM_CONFIG)

dieselEngineFoam is the only solver that does not currently have a tutorial case or FoamX configuration associated with it (because it is very new). We will endeavour to supply a case and configuration in the next release of FOAM.

Hi,
Where can I find the $FOAM_SYSTEM_CONFIG directory? I have copy the FoamX file from the engineFoamsolver and now the dieselEngineFoam solver is listed in the FoamXCaseBrowser. It is able to open a case under dieselEngineFoam but how can I ceate the directories with spraymodel- or injector settings?
I need help.
Thank you
Boris

Sorry,
I would say dictionaries (like turbulencProperties) and not directories.

Dear All

i successed to make a new solver by using twoPhaseEulerFoam base solver. i called it as my_twoPhaseEulerFoam.

i put Temperature on it and i successed use it manually to simulate tutorial cases with Temperature on bed, bed2 and bubblecolumn without error message.

and i also try to put this new solver in FoamX. and success, it is shown in the solvers list.

but the problem is:

the Temperature ''feature'' that i put on the new solver doesnt show on the new case window that i made on FoamX. so i dont find Temperature column on the Fields list , for filling the Temperature boundary condition value (also in the Patch option)

is there anyone knows how to solve my problem?

please help me.

Regards
