Using wildcards regexes in dictionaries

I heard a rumour about the possibility of wildcards being used in dictionaries, especially when defining boundary conditions. Does anybody know about this?

Hi Christian,

I don't think this is a rumour, since it was presented at the meeting in Berlin. The latest I know is that they will be regex(7) POSIX extended expressions.

Is there anybody using wildcards in openfoam dictionaries, would appreciate it if you help me make it work?

I have not used them but I guess they are applied as shown in the changeDictionaryDict files of the chtMultiRegionFoam dictionaries. Let me know if this works for you.

Thanks, It is indeed working, previously I wasn't using the "POSIX" wildcards correctly.
