hello everyone

i want some help as i want to map results from mesh to another mesh in openfoam but with different geometry and boundary conditions,so i found the utility mapfields so i run mapfields with the mapfieldsdict in the system folder

and the result was interpolated well to the other mesh.

but when i refine both meshes and try mapfields it gave me this error in the attached image.

i don't know why the mapfields utility failed!

i appreciate if someone help me.

the attached images are the error appeared to me and the mapfieldsdict.

note: phi isn't the flux, it is a volscalarfield i created in my own solver.

In the case for your target mesh, do you have a time folder "3"? Mapfields has to map between the same times in both source and target. I see from your error that the target time is "0"


From here:

The field data that mapFields maps are those fields within the time directory specified by startFrom/startTime in the controlDict of the target case. The data is read from the equivalent time directory of the source case and mapped onto the equivalent time directory of the target case.
