Dear OpenFOAM users,
I am new to OpenFOAM and am learning more about the package. I have a Dual processor Dell PC and have been experimenting with running the damBreakFine2 tutorial case.

I am an having problems with updating the gamma distribution on the new fine mesh. Note initial setup as single processor job because problem seens to be with setFields?

Any suggestion would be helpful?

Regards,
Ken

1) Cloned the damBreak(not running any procedures on it like blockmesh and stuff) case to damBreakFine2
2) Changed the blockMeshDict file according to the tutorial. did not change any other files.
3) Ran blockMesh on damBreakFine2. New finer mesh was formed OK for it was visible in paraview, but got the following errors:

FOAM Warning:
From function polyMesh::polyMesh(… construct from shapes…)
in file meshes/polyMesh/createPolyMesh.C at line 467
Found 10 undefined faces in mesh; adding to default patch.

The rest processed OK and new mesh was formed.

4) Ran setFields on damBreakFine2

Got the following error:

FOAM FATAL IO ERROR : size 2268 is not equal to the given value of 7700

File: /home/………../damBreakFine2/0/gamma from line 25 to line 2323.

Start off from a 'uniform' gam

Start off from a 'uniform' gamma. (can be copied from the original tutorial)

Or 'mapFields' from your existing solution.
