Hi Anja,
using the search function of the board, you would find the following discussion: http://www.cfd-online.com/OpenFOAM_D...ges/1/691.html The included URL links to my web page with some pictures and a complete icoFoam case file you could start from. -marcus |

Hi Marcus,
thanks a lot for your answer. By the way, I am a very new user of OpenFoam. I have seen your text about reducing the mesh thickness to one cell. How did you do that? I created a 2D mesh with Gambit/Fluent but in paraFoam it is always shown as 3D mesh. Anja |

I have no experience with Gambit or Fluent. What do you mean with 'always shown as 3D'?
Is it one cell thick in the third direction? That is the way Openfoam is working. One cell thickness (with b.c. 'empty') actually means 2D. If you look on the geometry of my Karman case, it has the same properties. |
