Differences zeroGradient // inletOutlet

Hey all,...

just one question. What 's the difference between, zeroGradient and inletOutlet//outletInlet???

And if you get a flow through the patch "inletOutlet/outletInlet" does it switch between zeroGradient and fixedValue?

Greetings Tobi

Hi Tobias,

to the best of my knowledge inletOutlet BC type works in this way:
- if the flow is going out the domain it behaves as a zeroGradient BC
- if the flow is coming inside the domain it behaves as a fixedValue BC

Hope it helps

Regards

Norman

Hey thanks.

Just one question left.
If it switches to fixedValue. Are there every faces declared to fixedValue?
And is that a static switch? Or a dynamic switch between zeroGradient and fixedValue?

Thanks in advance
Tobi
