Hello OF users'

In OpenFoam, with the existing utilities, is it possible to select the cells contained inside an arbitrary shaped volume?

Depends on how you want to specify the volume. If you've got the surface in a format that OF understands then the surfaceToCell-topoSet might help you. If you've got a field (with for instance 0 and 1) then fieldToCell might be your thing. If you've go an expression that specifies the cells then there is an expressionToCell-topoSet in swak4Foam

For the first 2 alternatives have a look at the dict that comes with the sources of the topoSet-utility. For the last option have a look at the examples that come with swak4Foam.
