Hi

I am trying to develop a steady velocity profile in a square duct and would like to use cyclic boundaries at inlet and outlet to make my domain manageable. I would like to use a pressure gradient to drive the flow but this is not a must.

How can I implement this? Otherwise what other options do I have instead of using a pressure gradient?

Thanks

Hi, I suppose you are asking about Channel flow simulation. If so, try using mass-flow condition (keep constant mass flow in horizontal direction). Actually I have done few cases using mass-flow condition so far for Re_tau=395 but I also would like to use pressure gradient (gradP).

HI Ashvic,
how did you compile the files with pressure gradient is constant? and how to set the value of the pressure field?
Thx

Hi, I have been trying to run the flow using constant pressure gradient but I have not got success so far. Did you run any case using pressure gradient?

i modified the icoFoam solver and obtained the velocity correctly, but the pressure distribution is not right. Do you have some idea?
