Hi,

I'm trying to solve a problem of heat transfer between two solids, and I've to consider the Thermal-Contact-Resistance for the simulation. For the this multi-region problem, I'm using chtMultiRegionFoam solver. I'm wondering if anyone worked and considered the issue of Thermal-Contact-Resistance. It will be great help if anyone can advise me how to incorporate Thermal-Contact-Resistance in the interface boundary of the two contacting solids.

Thanks in advance.

Shakil

Hi Mohammad,

I have good news for you, both turbulentTemperatureRadCoupledMixed and turbulentTemperatureCoupledBaffleMixed allow you to account for thermal contact resistances between your regions.

I hope it helps.

Best regards,

Alex

The case I talk about in this site was solved with chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam solver and involves radiation. Some basic tutorials are also resolved step by step in the web. If you are interested in these matters, you are invited to come in!
