transient MRF solver or MRFPimpleFoam

Hi every one,

I modified the MRFSimpleFoam to include transient simulations. I made some preliminary tests but I have not that many ideas for test cases that will asses the validity of my new solver.

Can any one give me some ideas or some known benchmark cases?

Thank you for any help on this.

Regards.

Hi wiedangel

Maybe you could create a rheometer like this one. Solve it with your solver and compute the shear-rate. (If you need an application to compute the sher-rate, just write me a private message.)

Then compute the real shear-rate in this rheometer. It should be defined as
shearRate=(R_1*Omega)/(R_0-R_1)

I read your thread, because I am looking for a MRFPimpleFoam solver. So maybe you could send me your solver?

Hi anton_lias,

thank you for your message and suggestion. I will work on validating the solver as you suggested. We can work on it together if you are interested, the more the merrier ;).

Regards

Hello wiedangel
I would like to work on it with you together. I will send you my contact details via personal message.
