OpenFOAM wall function treatment
Hello there,
i have a question regarding the wall function treatment for the kOmegaSST model in OpenFOAM 2.1.x. I am using the nutUSpaldingWallFunction and i would like to know, if it's comparable to the automatic wall function treatment in CFX. Does anybody knwo that? so does the nutUSpaldingWallFunction uses a blending between lowRe and highRe? Is there another wall function available in OpenFOAM-2.1.x for the kOmegaSST turbulence model that is comparable to the automatic wall function treatment in CFX? king regards! |

i forgot to mention: i am interested only in wall function treatment for incompressible RANS applications |
Yes it is a "automatic" wall function, but not comparable to that of CFX.

thanks for replying! so it uses some kind of automatic blending to accomplish to the low- and highRe formulation of the SST-model ?
i didn't really expect that it is comparable to that one used in CFX :) do have any references of validation test cases for OpenFOAM that uses the Spalding wf formulation in combination with kOmegaSST ? would be nice! or maybe experiences using SST with Spalding? |

is there an article about mutUSpaldingWallFunction?

This is the original paper:
