I was looking for the physicoChemical::k definition but I couldn't find it. Where is it located in FOAM 2.2.x or 2.2? The best I could find was what is in fundamentalConstants.C, but i couldn't find the point where the value 1.3806488*10-23 is assigned.

Regards.

Greetings Santiago,

Remember one of the new features in 2.2 for dynamic units and constants? http://www.openfoam.org/version2.2.0...me-control.php

Check the list "DimensionedConstants" in "$WM_PROJECT_DIR/etc/controlDict". To see where it's located, run:
Code:
echo $WM_PROJECT_DIR/etc/controlDict
You can also check it online, in particular line 924: https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM...ntrolDict#L924
It's dynamically loaded at runtime!

Best regards,
Bruno

Thanks Bruno, now I'm understanding the presence of the defineDimensionedConstant* macros, they read the constant from the definition file. I checked the 1.7.x distro and the k constant was hard-coded.

Regards.
