flowmap calculation -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Hiroshiman Member Join Date: Sep 2012 Posts: 51 Rep Power: 13	Hi all, in order to compute the FTLE field, I need the flowmap of a 3D unsteady flow simulation. I must advect flow particles from x0(t) to x(t+T,t,x0) using the velocity field. I guess I should use a interpolation scheme like InterpolationTable but I'm sure about it's usage and I think a third-order interpolator would be better. I'm not sure where to start and any help would be highly appreciated ! Best regards, Florian
