Coupling OpenFOAM with Abaqus

I just found a OpenFOAM tutorial about coupling OpenFOAM and an external application through externalCoupled boundary conditions
/OpenFOAM/tutorials/heatTransfer/buoyantSimpleFoam/externalCoupledCavity
.
In this example OpenFOAM is coupled with a dummy external solver.

I wonder if someone did such coupling with Abaqus?

Hi,
there is a commercial tool "MpCCI" by Fraunhofer SCAI
that supports the coupling of OpenFOAM and many other CAE Software
http://www.mpcci.de/mpcci-descriptio...e-adapter.html
It is a save bet to use MpCCI for many problems, but it is a expensive one.
Sorry that I can not answer your specific question about externalCoupled boundary conditions.

Elvis,
Thank you for the information!

In which version did you find this tutorial?
I have not been able to find it in 2.2, 2.1 and ext-3.0.

I am also interested in using this BC. If needed, I might look into it myself, but this would lower its priority quite a bit for me as I already have a working, albeit suboptimal solution for the coupling.

Edit: Nevermind, found it in 2.2.2, I was looking in 2.2.1.

@skuznet: Just as a clarification, I'm not using Abaqus, I want to couple to an external python script that evaluates some differential equations.
