Has anyone tried to implement density-based solvers in OpenFOAM?

OpenFOAM comes with a density based solver: rhoCentralFoam

Otherwise there are several implementations, depending on what you want to simulate.
For instance Ville Vuorinen (http://users.tkk.fi/~vavuorin/) has developed a Runge-Kutta 4 density based solver.

Then there are also the solvers from TU München: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...r-ddtfoam.html

Hi, Chourushi.
I'm planning to make an implicit temporal scheme for density-based solvers, such as LU-SGS scheme. Have you done some work on this topic?

Perhaps a bit late, but we implemented a coupled density-based solver using LU-SGS and GMRES if you would like to have a look
