Hello everyone,
I was looking at finding a way to calculate the number of particles that have crossed a surface during a certain time interval. What I think will work is calculating the dot product of the particle velocity and the surface normal for all particles between the two times and checking if the sign has changed. I want to do this with the face on the surface closest to the particle, but I'm not sure how to do that. There is a function called findNearestFace in meshSearch, but it works on the whole mesh. Can I cast it somehow to use it with a list of faces? Thanks and Happy Labour Day to those in North America |
