juhuettn is on a distinguished road
Hello Foamers,

I want to implement a new wall roughness model for kEpsilon into OpenFOAM. I already managed to get it running but my problem now is following:

As I understood so far, OpenFOAM is only modifying the first cells to the wall when using wall functions when using kEpsilon. I used the nutURoughWall function as a base for my model and modified it. The model I use (KS-TLK) needs more cells than only the ones next to the wall, as it is active in the complete boundary layer, and it needs around 20-50 cells in the boundary layer.

Does anyone have experience, or already modified a wall function to change the values for epsilon and nut not only in the cells next to the wall, but in all cells of the boundary layer?

Thank you very much,
Julian
