Phase intensive momentum equation

Hello!

From Henry, we know that if we solve the generic two fluid equations like this:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/att...1&d=1430119831

we will have a numerical problem. So we need to filter out alpha in this equation by Phase Intensive Momentum technology, But what kind of problem?..

Because in OpenFOAM I saw twoPhaseEulerFoam is using Phase Intensive Momentum technology, but compressibleTwoPhaseEulerFoam does not use it. Also by my lots of tests, compressibleTwoPhaseEulerFoam is robuster then twoPhaseEulerFoam.

OpenFOAM has abandoned the phase-intensive form since OF2.1 or 2.2 (i'm not sure). Regarding its limitations,

Hope it helps!
