Creating new variables and modify existing eqn in porousSimpleFoam

Hi,
I am begineer to openFoam. I am modelling flow through a body tissue which is considered as a porous media. i have to solve two equations in it basically continuity and momentum eqn(darcy eqn).In the continuity eqn i have to add some source and sink terms. For adding these terms i have to assign the variables like vascular pressure,surface area ,permeability in createfields.h . So, can anybody tell me how to assign these new variables and modify the continuity eqn????

Thanks a lot cyprien for your reply...I have added the variables according to that and compiled. I need some more help. I have created a rectangular mesh with 192 elements in x direction and 96 elements in y direction. Its basically a 2D mesh. Now i want to assign porosity values to each cell . How can i do it what should i change in the code and where???

Hi cyprien,

Tutorial sent by you were quite good and helped me lot. I am again returning to my post here. I had modeled a porous media body tissue in 2D. I had solved continuity and darcy eqn. in it. Now i am solving convection diffusion equation in it. But to solve it i first need to know how can i assign permeability and porosity values to each cell in mesh. I have these values from Matlab. I have to put it in openFoam cell by cell and then simulate..

Any help will be appreciated.
