Hi, I finished implementing new adaptive wall functions by Tobias Knopp et al. The new wall functions should be user together, so use omegaKnoppWallFunction with nutUKnoppWallFunction and maybe kLowReWallFunction (zerogradient k to the wall is not correct in the buffer zone, but I'm not sure yet which k wall function is best with these).

They can be downloaded from here:

https://github.com/zordiack/foam-dev.../wallFunctions

All comments and testing are welcome, I tested it with pitzDaily and at least it didn't crash
The implementation is based on paper:

Knopp, T., Alrutz, T. and Schwamborn, D. (2006)
"A Grid and flow adaptive wall-function method for RANS turbulence modelling"
Journal of Computational Physics, Volume 220, 19-40

These are supposed to give more grid independent results compared to square root blending. Next on my wall function implementation list is compound wall treatment for k-e-zeta-f by M. Popovac and K. Hanjalic
akidess, ssss and HesamAUT like this.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing the code.
It gives a error. You need to declare a variable!

But my question is, I did not get your point about Popovac Hanjalic Wall function!
Where can I find it?
Sincerely,
Ardalan

How did you try to compile it? And at what point does it give you an error? Did you add limytubulenceModels.so to controlDict libs?

There are no other wall functions yet, but I plan to implement them in the future.

Hi,
I'll manage to compile it. That's fine.
I'm extremely interested in the other wall function. Actually I gave a course project in openFoam course at Chalmers last year (2015) about the Wall function but the student, who took it, dropped the course.
Please let me know when the implementation is ready.
Best Regards
Ardalan Javadi
