Hello Everybody,

I am new at the OpenFoam software. My task is reproduce the DNS channel flow and compared a benchmark validation cases as Wu and Moin(2009) or Spalart(1988). The time-mean turbulence kinetic energy production and dissipation are not a primitive variables. Therefore, I can not directly plot the time-mean turbulence kinetic energy budget on Paraview, in my knowledge. Could you help me that how can I plot time-mean turbulence kinetic energy production and dissipation on Paraview.

Thank you for comments.

Hi Eng Yong,

There is some explanation about the conservation of the turbulent kinetic energy in the Viscous Fluid Flow (White, 2006) and Boundary Layer Theory (Schlichting, 2017). In my opinion, Schlichting (2017) have explained very extensively and clearly at page 507-509 (Chapter 16 Fundamentals of turbulent flow).

Bests Regards,
Cagri
