Problem Solved

Hi Tobi! Hi guys,

I could solve my foam-extend compiling problem :)

if you guys have problems with flex you might want to read this:
http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...sAndTricks.htm

I did somehow something similar before, but at the beginning I was not including the flex-2.5.35 libraries in all the Make/options files that were complaining about it (which were so many). So following the instructions written in the mentioned website worked for me, I modified all the Make/options, and also uncommented in ThirdParty/Allmake.stage1 this line:

# flex
( rpm_make -p flex-2.5.35 -s flex-2.5.35.spec -u http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...-2.5.35.tar.gz )

Cheers,

heliana

Good to know and sorry for the late replay.
There is also a thread about that problem but I am not going to search for it now :)

The problem is that the latest versions of FOAM using the newer FLEX packages that is normally not supported by old Linux distributions. So even you use an old FLEX or compile the new yourself. But it is somewhere here on cfd-online (thanks to bruno).

I also get that problem with 4.x and my ubuntu 12.04.
