Dear all,
The file <time directory>/uniform/time is written at every output time. From the source code of OpenFOAM 2.4.x, I understand this is done in Foam::Time::writeObject, line timeDict.regIOobject::writeObject(fmt, ver, cmp); What is this file used for? Can I choose not to write it without editing TimeIO.C and recompiling the library? Is there any problem if I remove this line? Best regards, Thomas |

Thomas,
Did you get any answer to your question? I am seeing the same in OF 2.3.x. I am using the interFoam applcation solver, which I have altered considerably. Before that, this never occured, now it does. Regards, Daniel |

Daniel,
I didn't get any answer, and I just let this file be written, even though I don't use it as far as I know. Thomas |

Thomas,
Thanks for the quick answer. I have filed a new post, maybe my problem is related: writeInterval wrong If you have an idea, I would be glad to hear from you again. Maybe your issue is related. Regards, Daniel |
