Hi everyone,

Out of curiosity has anyone ever thought about possible implementation of parallelisation in time in OpenFOAM? or heard of anyone who might be looking into it?

It seems to me to be something that could be beneficial in solving problems that require long simulation times as the time per timestep is one of the significant bottle necks here.

People are developing codes which do this (XBraid) and implementing it for fluids problems (Falgout (2014)) but I've found no mention of any interest in the OpenFOAM community and i'm curious if anyone has put any thought into it?
