hello foamers

I want to simulate the 2D flow boiling channel.
So I will use chtMultiRegionTwoPhaseEulerFoam for the 2D flow boiling channel.

But, I have some question.
I saw the tutorial for chtMultiRegionTwoPhaseEulerFoam which called solidQuenching2D. but I can not see the bubbles.

Does this solver have the phase change mode? I can see the change of alpha.

If you are talking about the solver in the ESI version of OpenFOAM. Yes, it does simulate phase change. In the case of that tutorial, you have boiling next to the walls of the solid. Make sure, that you look at the fields in the correct region.

Thanks !!

ESI version of OpenFOAM means OpenFOAM-v1912??
phase change means that that solver can create bubble?

Yes, in that solver, you have boiling at the wall and the therefore, alpha (vapor volume fraction) goes up.

Curious. Is there any benchmark dataset/setup for a boiling channel to your knowledge?
