Hi
I have a problem related to porous media and I would be appreciated if you help me. I wanted that this porous media is located in a rotating region. For rotation I used MRF. I understand Openfoam is calculating porous properties based on the absolute value which is correct when you do not have rotation. But, when you have rotation, you need to use relative velocity. Now, I have a question about relative velocity. I want to calculate relative velocity regarding to the rotating frame, not absolute velocity. I think it can be done by modifying fvOption. Do you have a suggestion?
I appreciate if you help me
Regards

Hi Roshan,

i have a similar Problem, i tried to rotate my porous Body (via rotating the mesh solidBodyrotation) so that the fluid gets in due to the centrifugal and coriolis forces, unfortunatly this did not work for me.

Another Idea i had was to use tabulatedAccelerationSource, the Source Code of tabulatedAccelartionSourceTemplate seems to countain Coriolis and Centrifugal Force, but the effects on my fluid weren't there either.

Regards

Daniel
