I was told and I also vaguely remember that there exist code that allows to precompute the AMI Weights in order to read them from a file during the simulation and save a lot of time when the mesh movement is periodic and over a lot of rotations or oscillations.

I've searched the web and the code and what I found that was closest to that only allowed to store maximum and minimum weights, with does not serve my purpose.

Can someone point me to the related code (or publication if no code is available)?

Unfortunately. I'll ask Eugene de Villiers if he can pitch in, while also knows about the implementation.

Hi Louis,

My memory is hazy. I think it was someone at Virginia Tech. You can try to reach out to Jonathan Pitt. It could be one of his students, but I am not sure.

(contact details at the bottom of this page: https://www.cpe.vt.edu/ofw15/hosting.html)

Good luck.

Eugene

Hi, no, I,ve heard the new AMI is faster, but I'm working with other issues now.
