Hello all,
Why venkatakrishna limiter is called MultiDimensional Limiter? What's the difference with 1D Limiter (vanLeer, vanAlbada, Minmod limiter )? I know venkatakrishna limiter is used for unstructured grid and also it uses these 1D Limiter. Can it be used for structured grid or MUSCL limiter is the better ?

Thank you everyone in advance!!!

I recommend reading the following:

Kim, Sung-Eun. "A multi-dimensional linear reconstruction scheme for arbitrary unstructured mesh." 16th AIAA Computational Fluid Dynamics Conference. 2003.

If my understanding is correct, using a multi-dimensional limiter reduces numerical dissipation (limiting slopes at each cell face rather than all faces equally).
