Hi FOAMers,
I've been grappling with a problem over the past few days and believe my question is worth posting here for insights. In solvers like compressibleMultiphaseInterFoam, different phases (gas and liquid) are handled with properties like density determined by the equation of state via the multiphaseMixtureThermo class. However, I need to know if it’s possible to define the gas phase as a system with multiple reacting components. My understanding is that the answer is "no" because compressibleMultiphaseInterFoam lacks a YEqn for component handling. Given this limitation, how can I include multiple gas components in a multiphase solver? Would replacing rhoThermo with rhoReactionThermo for multiphase modeling be a suitable solution? If so, how can I incorporate this into multiphaseMixtureThermo for accurate multiphase flow simulations? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! |
