Can any of the openfoam CFD solver be used for nano-scale geometry modelling?
 
For the nano-scale flow, e.g., water, can CFD still be valid? The geometry scale is 100 nm.

I just tried, the CFD solvers in openfoam just gave random/unreasonable flow pattern results and it seems un-converged.

Check for the Knudsen number Kn. I suppose you are out of range for continuum mechanics. But strange results often appear because of bad bc.

For high-Knudsen number flows in nanochannels you can use DSMC or MD solvers, which OpenFOAM provides. If you need a continuum treatment, you might want to consider alternative approaches like moment methods or Lattice-Boltzmann.
