Stopping Droplets from merging
Hello OpenFoam Users,
I am trying to simulate (using InterFoam) the droplet formation (which works fine) and then to send them through a microfluidic assemby with "shift register". As shown in the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KhIjcxgnkk The problem is in all my cases the droplets merge with each other. Can someone explain me a way, such that I can prevent the droplet merging when they come close to each other? The surface is stabilized by the fluorocarbons present in the droplets. Best Regards, Abhishek |
Hello OpenFoamers,
It will be of great help if you suggest me some way to solve this problem. Thanks Regards, Abhishek |
Hi Abhishek,
I don't think you can prevent merging in interFOAM or any other interface-tracking methods. One think you might give a try is interTrackFOAM but I am not sure if it will solve your problem. Cheers, Duong |
