A paper on atomization and spray modelling has been published on the open access journal "Engineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics" ( http://www.cse.polyu.edu.hk/publication/jeacfm/ )

The reference is:

Hello, sir,

I have been trying to model spray atomization for my injector spray. It is a combination of two concentric orifices one central circular orifice for air jet and a annular circular orifice for water around the smaller orifice. Water comes out from the annular orifice with tengential (as well as axial) velocity.Spray comes out (mixture of water and air) in atmospheric back pressure. There are number of flow condition for both the fluids (different injection pressure). Do you think while simulating this problem for 2-d case in Fluent Shall I mention the swirl/tangential velocity of water or I should not give it. I am not sure that for 2-d case solver computes the tangential component velocity also or it simply neglects it in 2-d. I am trying with VOF, DPM, K-Epsilon turbulence model initially for 2-d case. Do you think my approach is correct? Please suggest me something about my doubts. Thank you very much.
