Wind profile boundary layer problem

Hi everyone I'm simulationg a 3D delta wing in atmospheric conditions. I'm using the simpleFoam-motorBike configuration and everything seems to be ok, but the only problem I have is that the boundary layer formed over the ground isn't constant. It seems to me that when the patch of "inlet" start blowing it generates a boundary separation and that makes the wind profile not to be constant as I need.

Do anyone knows how to implement an inlet wind profile boundary condition?, I've tried swak4Foam to implement the groovy BC but I fail trying to make it work.

Please help me, I'm quite desperate here.

Thanks

Hi Rafael,

Are you aware of the wall function problems when simulating ABL flows? Blocken described it in some papers such as this one
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...5223100600834X
If you don't adapt your mesh and wall function parameters to ABL flow, you will have large variations of your profile through your domain.

I hope this already helps a bit. I've never used swak4Foam but I'm planning to test it soon. Let me know if you manage to get it to work!
Regards,
Eloïse
