K-epslion Vs. Realizable K-epsilon. Emergency!!

Dear Foamers
Hi I have a problem in using K-epsilon model. I'm simulating free surface flow using interFoam. All my models with k-epsilon crashes and make me to use realizable k-e. Fortuately it works well. Now I'm confused what makes it happen?!! Why does k-e become unstable while realiz. works without any problem? |

k -epsilon should work. RNG k-epsilon has an additional term for heavy strained flows, swirling flows and you can use it as a low Reynolds model (no wall functions).
