kqRWallFunction

hi
I want to write kqRWallFunction manually in openfoam.does anybody know a good paper about the formula of it?

Lieven December 28, 2012 06:36

Hi Ehsan,

kqRWallFunction is basically equal to zeroGradient, at least that's how it is implemented in OF. Why would you want to implement the function yourself if it is already available?

Kind regards,

L

hi dear lieven
I want to model a square tube with a small inlet that is 3mm.i calculated k and omega from the formula in this site.but they seems very high due to highvelocity and small length scale.for instance omega is about 50000.is it correct?
I thought may be i can calculate and obtain better values.
Another doubt is that i dont know what folders need for kOmegaSST in 0-folder?there are very folders like epsilon,R,nutilda,... What folders should be there?
Thank you very much.

omega equation?

Hi,
nice document by the way! May i ask you, why do you use the omega equation for fluent? Thought you calculate in OpenFOAM?

what do you mean by omega equation in fluent and openfoam?

hi Daniele
Maybe too late but the link doesn't work for me in here.
Please send another one if possible.
