Hello Everyone,
Can anybody suggest me how to plot residual curve in para-view? and how to get co-efficient of pressure plot. Cause only pressure plot is coming.

paraview won't plot your residual plot, since the data is not stored in any of the fields. if you want a residual plot you should take a look at this thread http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...residuals.html

what kind of coefficients do you mean?

Hello Roman,
I am asking about co-efficient of pressure for external aerodynamic problem.

you have to calculate those from the force balances

you probably want to have have the lift and drag coefficient. have a look at the function object and how to calculate the force coefficients. i think i have seen similar threads in the forum.

Hey,

I guess you now know how to get the residuals, right?

For the pressure coefficient, you could use ParaView (you need a reasonably new version). Read your geometry into ParaView and do a PlotOnIntersectionCurves - then you can get the surface pressure out and eventually compute your pressure coefficient either inside ParaView or outside it (which is what I do).

Hi Nilesh, how did you plot residuals in ParaView? would you like to tell me?
Thank you!
Wei.

hi Mads
how can i use PlotOnIntersectionCurves
in paraview? i don't know what normal i should use, x y or z ?
i put my VTK file of the airfoil and the forceCoeffs on it in the following, would you please please give me some advice to use PlotOnIntersectionCurves?
thank you very very much
